At Schloss Horneck, the civil wedding can be carried out on its own premises in cooperation with the community of Gundelsheim. Marriage in the open air or without a denomination is also possible. With a view over the Neckar, an outdoor wedding ceremony can take place on our terrace or in the castle moat. For a church wedding, the Protestant and Catholic churches are approx. 5 minutes’ walk away.

Free Wedding
Open air weddings are possible at Horneck Castle too. With a view over the Neckar and the Neckar valley, the free wedding ceremony can take place on the terrace or in the moat. The moat and the terrace are also very popular locations for wedding photos and receptions.
Our professional catering partner will take care of the culinary highlights for your reception. The experienced team reliably takes care of all tasks, from delivery and installation of the equipment to dismantling and return transport. During the celebration, a service manager ensures that your wishes are met.
The reception
Let’s celebrate the occasion with a glass of sparkling wine! The reception can take place on the terrace with a view over the Neckar, in the moat or in the castle. Depending on the size of the event, we’re happy to show you the appropriate options on site.
We serve regional Secco with seasonal berries. Optionally, a water bar can be offered, with which your guests can mix their wine or water in their own way. We serve snacks according to your wishes.
Coffee & Cake
No wedding without a wedding cake. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake with your guests. Coffee and cake can be served in the ballroom, on the terrace or at the reception. It’s possible to bring the cake with you or order it through us.
The most romantic wedding imaginable is within your very own Castle. You won’t want to leave – so it’s a good job we also offer wedding accommodation for you and your guests! Up to 70 beds are available in our 32 listed hotel rooms. Another plus: you have the castle all to yourself and can celebrate as long as you want without curfew.

Kann das Schloss auch ohne die Zimmer gebucht werden?
Das Schloss kann auch ohne die Zimmer gebucht werden, allerdings müssen Sie dann die Sperrstunde einhalten und die Feier um 22:00 Uhr beenden, damit sich andere Hotelgäste durch die Geräuschkulisse nicht belästigt fühlen.
Bis wann kann bei Ihnen gefeiert werden?
Sofern Sie die Hotelzimmer für Ihre Veranstaltung gebucht habe, gibt es keine Sperrstunde. Sie können solange feiern wie Sie möchten. Ab 24 Uhr wird ein Nachtzuschlag berechnet. Diesen finden Sie auf der Preisliste.
Sind Luftballons, Konfettikanonen, Himmelslaternen oder ähnliche Gegenstände erlaubt?
Luftballons sind erlaubt, Konfettikanonen und Himmelslaternen nicht. Halten Sie am besten nochmals Rücksprache mit uns, falls Sie unsicher sind.
Kann eigener Kuchen mitgebracht werden?
Ja gerne, wir haben genügend Kühlmöglichkeiten und der Kuchen kann vor oder während der Veranstaltung bei uns abgegeben werden. Hierfür berechnen wir ein Krümelgeld für das Bereitstellen der Kühlmöglichkeiten, vom Personal und vom Geschirr. Preis entnehmen Sie der Preisliste.
Sind Parkplätze vorhanden?
Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind im Burghof und vor der Deutschmeisterhalle genügend vorhanden.
